Escape from Camp 14: One Man's Remarkable Odyssey from North Korea to Freedom in the West - Blaine Harden I think this is a very important book, and I'm glad to have read it. It wasn't as well written as Barbara Demick's book, which I thought was (despite what she blurbed on the back) a bit more terrifying, probably because it was more emotional. Harden's account of Shin's escape is very fact and action oriented, though of course part of Shin's story is that he wasn't really allowed or able to feel until he escaped. Perhaps the writing style is meant to capture that atmosphere.
