So this wasn't the worst book ever. I may even read the next in the series, because this book doesn't really go anywhere and leaves you hanging. We read this one for our teen book club at the library on a strong recommendation from a few teens. This book actually produced one of our most thoughtful discussions because there were such a variety of reactions to it. One girl mentioned that Sage's treehouse of horrors reminded her of the story of Bluebeard's wives, and I super loved this comparison. It actually deepened my reading of this book. I think the sequel could really turn the first installment on its head, but unfortunately I kind of doubt it does.
