I feel pretty much the same with this book as with Alanna. I loved this series when I read it as an 11-year-old or whenever but if I was reading it now for the first time... I'm not sure. This book gets super nostalgia points. I think this was the first book I read where a character has sex and it's just a normal part of life and not a big deal, and it made an impression on me. The impression being that I remember it as having lots of incidents of sex in it, which it actually doesn't have at all. I also remember being a lot more attached to the characters, and having a lot more invested in the romance aspects.
