Re-read by listening. I thought this might be a dangerous car listen, but I was actually okay. Okay. I teared up several times, but I was not the full-on mess I was when I first read the book. It helped that I knew exactly what was going to happen.
Kate Rudd won the Odyssey for this, and she did a good job. Best audiobook of 2012? Maybe not. But I really enjoyed it. I loved that her "mom" was SO midwest accented. I thought it was a nice touch, but then I saw that Rudd is from MI, so maybe that's just how she talks. :) And her well Augustus reminded me SO MUCH of Rob Lowe's (Hoosier!)Parks and Recreation character. The way Gus says, "Hazel Grace," is just like Chris's "Ann Perkins."
